Comunn na Piobaireachd's purpose is to further the knowledge, study, teaching and playing of piobaireachd in New Zealand.

Piobaireachd, pronounced "pea-broch," is a classical form of Scottish bagpipe music. It features a slow, intricate theme followed by a series of increasingly complex variations. Piobaireachd is characterized by its emotional depth and meditative quality. 

 Our mission is to support the playing of piobaireachd in New Zealand by running piping seminars, teaching and organising solo piping competitions.
